Expert installation of a false chimney
At Humphrey & Crockett, our wood-burning stoves form a large part of the services we offer. When our customer in Dinton approached us to install a fireplace to their home without a chimney, we set to work. A plain, uninspiring wall was transformed into a striking focal point through the expert installation of a false chimney, a twin wall flue system, and a beautifully crafted stone surround.

The project
To create the illusion of a traditional chimney, a false chimney structure was constructed, seamlessly integrating a twin wall flue system supplied by Chimflue in Andover. This ensured both safety and efficiency while maintaining a sleek aesthetic.
For the heart of the fireplace, a Charlton & Jenrick PV5 Countryman stove was installed, offering exceptional performance and timeless charm. The finishing touch was the Chatsworth surround in Aegean limestone, sourced from FDC in Dinton, adding elegance and craftsmanship to the space.
The Results
The transformation not only enhanced the room’s character but also provided a high-performing heating solution with a classic design.
